Day 1 arrival in Tbilisi. Walking in Tbilisi. Packing our backpacks.

Day 2 Tbilisi-Stepantsminda village. We get in the car and go to the village of Stepantsminda, where we put on our backpacks and start our hike. We will go up to the Gergeti Church, where we will spend the night in tents. In good weather, you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding gorges.

Day 3 Stepantsminda village-Arsha lane (n/a, 2930 m) – Chari river. In the morning we have Breakfast and go out towards the glacier near Kazbek. In spring, the path may be covered with snow. The trail leads to the pass, then descends into the valley of the river Chheri, where we will stop for the night.

Day 4. Chari is a weather station. On this day, our journey will take us to the glacier, and then along the glacier will lead us to the huge hill on which the Gergeti weather station stands, where we will camp. Guests can spend the night at the weather station at an additional cost.

Day 5 weather station-radial exit to Kazbegi glacier. Day of acclimatization. Our task this day is to get used to the height. We will climb among the stone mounds as close as possible to the city of Kazbek and then return back. After that, we will go up and down to the chapel of the Kazbek Bethlehem monastery — the highest Orthodox chapel in the world.

Day 6 Ascent. The cherished day has come! We are waiting for an early rise and exit-at 3-4 o’clock in the morning. First we will pass among the rock scree, then we will go out on the glacier, organize bundles and go up. The path will pass along the ice ledge down from mount Kazbek, then along the snow-ice slope directly to the top. The mountain offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The descent will take place on the way up.

Day 7 weather station-p. Kazbegi (or Tbilisi, if we have time). In one day we go down to the village of Stepantsminda and, depending on the time of descent, either go to Tbilisi or spend the night in Stepantsminda.
